Dion Fortune Glastonbury 1940. Magic and History.

The story of the development of the imagery used in Dion Fortune’s 1940 Glastonbury magical workings, from October 1939 to May 1940, placed against the history of the time. Further details concerning the peak of the process, the mythical events of Dunkirk and the Battle of Britain. When Gareth Knight presented a collection of Dion Fortune’s letters in The Magical Battle of Britain, he provided a minimal commentary on the wider events in the war. I felt that more extensive historical details considerably enhanced understanding of the letters. My book The Occult Battle of Britain has an extensive section on that period and I draw from it here.
